Passion. Patience. Perseverance.
I started dreaming of becoming a professional tennis player when I was looking the Davis Cup and I saw the emotions of the teams, the public and the nations and how good, complete and funny was this sport. I started playing tennis when I was 7 years old. Since I was a kid, I always loved to watch the best tennis players on TV such Sampras, Agassi and Federer, who inspired me to become the player I am today.
I’m not from a rich family. However, I trained hard in a municipal installation close to Brussels (Belgium). At the age of 10 I turned the number one of Belgium in my age and one year above. And at the age of 12, my family and I came to Barcelona, Spain. At the age of 21 I got my first ATP ranking (Professional) and I was top 70 of Spain in the Absolut category.

Achieving what I did in this sport meant, for me, clinging to that dream, not leaving the sport that I love, and making many sacrifices, challenges and hard work.
Tennis is a passion that not everyone understands, is not only a game but also a way to runaway from poverty, it connects people from everywhere, it teach you to work in a team, to respect the people, the rules and cultures, it gives you status, it teaches you to know about yourself, your strengths, limitations, how to overcome different situations and much more.

Thanks to the coaches/trainers I had: Joel Figueras, Enrique Castilla, Sergi Barberan, Paula Cabezas and Carles Sanz.
